Why checks may be requested

FICA is South Africa’s Financial Intelligence Centre Act framework. Betway’s public materials say identity verification is required and describe possible document requests. Verification may occur at sign-up or later. Exact documents and steps depend on current operator rules and account circumstances.

We did not submit an ID, proof of residence, bank statement or facial verification. We cannot promise a document will be accepted or state a universal approval time.

Submit documents securely

Begin from the official Betway domain and use the account’s verified upload path or current official instruction. Check the domain. Do not upload identification to a social-media profile, unknown message link or “agent”. Never send a password, PIN or one-time code.

Read the privacy notice and send only what the official instruction requests. Keep a record of what was submitted, when and through which channel.

Mismatches and delays

A mismatch between account details, identity document and payment method can trigger review. Correct errors through official support rather than opening another account. If delayed, ask which document is missing and request a reference.

For an unresolved complaint, save current terms, account reference and written correspondence and follow formal steps. This guide did not test support or resolve a case.
